Hello ween!

So Halloween is just a week away and that means costumes, candy and for some of us BOOZE! I've been looking around on some forums about what people will be wearing on Halloween. I have to say alot of people are not thinking outside the box this year (even myself). I love seeing the people who push the boundaries. Every year American Apparel comes out with costumes that you can put together by using their products. This year i wasn't so fond of them, i only liked this one idea of being old grandparents. Last year was alittle more creative and intriguing. One of my favourties were "The Nudist".

Inappropriate to some and funny to others.

I hope this year i'll see alot of interesting costumes, let's hope i remember that night...

Life is a highway!

6:16am and the city is awake. Time to start another busy day. Too bad I'm ending mine now. Goodnight!

Love you,
Christina EC.

Just a quickie.

It's a little early in the morning and I'm almost certain I have sleepy dust in my eyes. I have ruined my sleeping pattern once again. Ill be sure to pass out soon, I hope.

Love you,

The hour glass.

As my interest in photography keeps growing i find myself looking into vintage photos and how they seem to lock a certain moment of time. It gets me excited when i see all these different photos. It's like looking into someones eyes in that certain era. I want to share some photos i found online that intrigued me. Hope you like them.

The Jersey Shore circa 1905. "At Atlantic City." In the background: Clabby's baths on the boardwalk. Detroit Publishing Co. glass negative.

April 27, 1937. "Capitol's busiest policeman. Besides being an arm of the law, a Capitol policeman has to also act as an information bureau. Frank Foley, officer on duty at the entrance of the Senate office building from 8 to 4, kept a record today of the number of questions asked him. At the end of his day's hitch the total showed 1,568 questions asked, and answered correctly and with a smile, if we must believe Mr. Foley. Miss Mildred Aitken of Brooklyn, N.Y., is the pretty sightseer in this picture, receiving directions from officer Foley."

Washington, D.C., circa 1920. "Frank Kidwell, front." Kidwell's Market on Pennsylvania Avenue, home of "strictly fresh eggs" and choice hare cuts. Mold-encrusted National Photo Company glass negative.

Orange, Virginia, circa 1910. "Woodberry Forest track team." The prep school's 20-foot running machine. Harris & Ewing glass negative.

Washington, D.C., circa 1918. "Marjorie Stinson, aviatrix. Packard LePere plane." Harris & Ewing Collection glass negative.

Atlantic City, New Jersey, circa 1900. "Boardwalk, Easter morning." 8x10 dry plate glass negative, Detroit Publishing Company.

August 4, 1938. Washington, D.C. "Miss Dorothy Parker has been selected as Miss Washington and will compete for the title of Miss America at the Atlantic City beauty pageant to be held during Labor Day week. 18 Years old, she weighs 112 pounds and is 5 feet, 4 inches in height. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Albert Parker of Washington." Harris & Ewing glass negative.

Viva Italia!

Today is Tuesday, the day that i get my weekly fix. Yes i mean THE HILLS! So it begins with the same stuff and later into the episode the drama starts. At one point we find Justin Bobby and Kristin at her home flirting and what not. Then the camera turns to Justin Bobby shirtless with the most horrendous tattoo ever! Seriously what was he thinking?! The thing is huge and tacky! His hotness level just dropped by a billion, it's truly a sad day. So today i finally got my blackberry calender in order and am i the only one who thinks if their blackberry calender isn't in order they feel lost in some sense? I guess i'm just really unorganized. Anyways i'm really sleepy.

Love you,
Christina EC.

Indiana Jonas Brothers?

So today i decided to sleep in and well.. terrible idea. I woke up with an aching neck and a slight headache and the day was almost done. So i thought i would make the most of what i had left of the day. I can't cook (even if my life depended on it) and well i tried to make probably the easiest thing known to man, noodles. Turns out i was actually supposed to keep it on low heat and let the water evaporate, let's just say i'm used to the taste of burnt things. So i hit up Facebook and came across this picture of a cowboy on my friends profile. Now my brain was still in sleep mode and i decided to leave a clever response on the photo. Out of no where i thought of "Indiana Jonas Brothers". I laughed for hours to come, i thought i was slowly growing a tumor in my brain. After all the responses i got on it i thought it was actually clever, my friends are awesome liars. On another note, for weeks to come i had to think of a witty name for me and my friends new blog. We want to base it on my love for photography and her love for fashion, the best of both worlds (the name is taken). So far we have nothing. Nada, zip, zero! So i'm asking for your help, what should we name it? Please help! Also! This week i decided to give out my blackberry pin (for the release of blackberry messenger 5.0). If you don't own a blackberry or haven't already upgraded RIM decided that they would add alot of awesome features, which we've all been waiting for! So one new thing added to it is the "Blackberry Barcode". It's your pin in a barcode form, all you have to do is scan it and TADA you've added the person. So i'll post my barcode and we can talk about unicorns, cool? Haha ok i'm off to give my cat a bath, she get's into the dirtest parts in my house ughh.

Love you,
Christina EC.

Rain, rain go far away!

It has been a week filled with saddening weather and extreme walking, but I'm still going. The single digit temperatures are starting to scare me and it feels like any minute now winter will just creep up on us! I can't believe it's already October, i already have my Halloween costume. This year i feel like i should get everything in order before hand because seriously, the time is flying by faster than ever. I have so many things on my mind it's kind of unbearable. This year i want to purchase my Canon XS and start shooting, anyways more on that when i finally purchase it. Throughout the year i started to change my look and I'm proud to say i love the change. I'm growing up and changing and so should my wardrobe. ALSO i have found the most amazing perfume you can find on the market, the Dior Cherie. I might only love it because i love Dior, I'm not too sure haha. The smell is sweet yet has a floral side to it, it was an awesome investment. Last weekend i found myself in bath and body works purchasing the most amazing candles ever. I stumbled upon a candle that smelt like japenese cherry blossoms. It was an imediate buy, i can't let it leave my nose! So all and all i spent the week spending money and taking on the town. I'm going to find someone to rub my feet, they need it!

MMMMmmmmMMMmm... i can smell the debt!

Love you,
